We did it! We finally got moved into our space at Plantation White on Main Street in Dickson, TN. "Magnolia Hollow featuring Kimberly Kline Design". This was SO FUN! Don't get me wrong… it was a lot of work and the insane weather delays were maddening but who cares it was all so worth it! Click HERE to visit the Facebook page of Plantation White and meet Faith & Greg Bybee. They have been so hospitable to us and made us feel so much a part of the family and I cannot tell you how excited Jane and I are to be there! Also, please click on over to Jane's blog Magnoliahollow.com and visit! She paints beautiful furniture - notice her chair… Yep… She painted it! It's so soft and comfy and beautiful - people just can't get over it! And I can't stop painting Angel Wings! Take a look:
So if you are ever near Nashville and make about 35 miles west - stop in and see us!! I'm heading back to Maryland in a few days where I'll be creating more! Love and Light.
Hi everyone - I hope you all are staying warm and cozy during this crazy-harsh Winter!
I have a few new adventures going on. For now I have put away the jewelry making side and have focused on opening a new decor space with my best friend in Dickson, TN. One would think that going from Maryland to middle Tennessee would be a "warmer" change. So I packed up my creations and headed south. We were to open on Monday, Feb. 16th. Due to a week of record stretching weather events… i.e. - snow, ice, freezing rain, high winds and flooding - we are shooting for tomorrow the 23rd! It's been great fun though and I am loving my creative life. I have so many new things to show you and will be doing so very soon!
I have been making pretty Shabby Chic Inspired appliqués custom for my wood designs. I like ones that have more depth to them and don't lay so "flat" to the wood. The ones that really look hand-carved and stand out. I found a way to bring them to life WITHOUT needing molds or plaster and making a mess. And the best thing is you don't have to guess at the size you might need and then spend a fortune on them only to have them not fit your piece! They take paint (I use chalk paint just because i like that look) and I think might put together an online class soon - let me know if you would be interested! Stay tuned - I will be adding new pics as soon as we get our little space set up this week!
